Valle Catholic 6th Grade Science, under direction of Mrs. Dawn Skaggs, erupted their handmade volcanoes recently in conjunction with their study of chemical reactions.
Students tested several combinations and noted different reactions that went beyond the classic chemical volcano recipe of baking soda and vinegar. Combinations included yeast and peroxide, ketchup and baking soda, and Dawn dishwashing liquid.
