Honoring ‘Super Sam’

Dear Valle Families,
Many of us have followed the story of Sam Santuff, also known as “Super Sam.”   Sam was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer at the age of 5.  His nanny, Miss Natalie Koch, was a member of our community, and a Valle parent for many years.  She opened her heart and shared Sam’s story with us.
Sadly, Sam lost his battle with cancer last Friday.  His funeral services are tomorrow, Wednesday, September 24 at 1 with a balloon release immediately following in Fulton.
To honor his courage and extreme faith, we will release balloons for Sam on the Valle desert at 2:40 on Wednesday.  All are invited to join us for prayer and the release, just before dismissal.  Valle will provide 50 balloons, to be randomly distributed.
Any student or adult who owns a “Super Sam” shirt, is invited to wear it on Wednesday to celebrate Sam’s life.
Sincerely,
Jill Metzger
