Two Alums Honored

Senior Cole Bieser (Valle Catholic ’09) and junior Jason Blum (Valle Catholic ’10) along with senior Derek Gibson all earned honors.</p> <p>"This is quite the honor for these three young men who really understand the definition of being a student-athlete," said head coach Steve Bieser. "They have had outstanding academic careers to go along with their athletic success. I’m very proud of these guys. They set the tone for academic success for our baseball team."</p> <p>Southeast Missouri falls under District 6, consisting of schools from Arkansas, Iowa, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. There are eight geographical districts across the United States and Canada.</p> <p>Besides excelling in the classroom, Bieser, Blum, and Gibson have had great seasons on the diamond this year. The Redhawks have led the Ohio Valley Conference all season and are in the hunt for their first OVC regular season title since 2002.
