Two New Appointments @ Valle

Valle Catholic School has recently made two appointments.

Judd Naeger has been named Director of Alumni Relations and Jill Metzger has been named Assistant Principal/Reading Specialist.

“Before anyone begins to panic, it is important to say that Judd Naeger will continue to serve Valle Catholic in his coaching and teaching duties moving forward. Judd and his team of coaches have developed very successful programs in terms of student athletic development and representing Valle Catholic on the athletic fields” smiled Dr. Gilligan who somehow anticipated that the first question. “Judd will be working directly with the Director of Development Joe Rozier in this increasingly important component of private education.”

Gilligan continued: “The alumni and friends of Valle Catholic Schools, those living locally and around the country, deserve to have a professional team in place that can continue to build upon those relationships that have been so important for Valle Schools for many years. As we continue to move forward in our very successful Capital Campaign at Valle Schools and Ste. Genevieve Parish, we can to realize the importance of serving the people who continue to serve and support the mission at Valle Catholic Schools.”

Naeger is a graduate of the Valle School system and since graduating from Lindenwood University has taught and coached in the Valle Catholic system in Ste. Genevieve.

“It is evident to everyone that there is new energy at Valle Catholic Schools and Ste. Genevieve Parish, one of the oldest parishes and schools west of the Mississippi,” Naeger said. “There are thousands of supporters who understand the importance of our school in our community and in the lives of the children who have attended Valle Schools for generations. These are exciting times at Valle Catholic and I am honored to be named to this new position.”

Progressive changes in the new Early Childhood Development Center, increased enrollment numbers, and a continued focus on the core areas of academics throughout the Valle Schools system brought about the need for a academic leader who has the leadership skills, respect among their peers, and the academic experience that could support the leadership team during these very exciting times at Valle Catholic Schools.

“I can’t tell you how satisfying it is to find the necessary talent within the current staff at Valle Catholic Schools when these opportunities come about in our school” stated Gilligan.

Metzger earned her master’s degree in education and has been an integral part of the Valle faculty for the last six years. Prior to joining the Valle staff, Jill taught for seven years in Hazelwood School District and three years in the Lindberg Schools.

“Parents who have had Jill teach their students will attest that Jill is an excellent teacher and a role model who excels in all areas, especially in the area of literacy,” Gilligan said. “The ongoing Capital Campaign at Valle Catholic Schools and Ste. Genevieve Parish has served as a springboard for facility improvement throughout the school and parish, the enhancement of academic programs in technology, literacy, and many programs, plus the ability to build upon the strength of an already exceptional staff. You can feel it in the air in Ste. Genevieve, these are exciting times at Valle Catholic Schools.”
