Valle Catholic (19-8) rode the 29 point performance of 6-5 Sr. Daniel Bergtholdt and tenacious man-to-man D to a 57-51 upset win over top seeded Ellington Friday, February 27th in the Class 2 District 3 Championship game @ Bismarck. The Warriors captured their 1st District Title since 1998.
They advance to the Sectional Round on Wednesday at Jefferson College in Hillsboro against Crystal City (18-8). The Hornets edged Clopton 66-63 to win their District.
