*Seniors – Class of 2020

The last day of school for the Valle Catholic Senior Class of 2020 was Friday, May 8. For the last month, the stadium lights at the Father John Dempsey Football Field were lit to honor the Seniors.

A few members of Valle’s faculty and staff also lit the school building on Friday nights for the students.

But for the Seniors’ last day of school, the teachers wanted to take it a step further. Faculty, past and present, dressed in their Valle blue and lined the sidewalk in front of Valle Catholic High School to honor the beloved Class of 2020 with a Senior Parade holding signs and shaking pom poms as cars full of Seniors drove by slowly in front of the school.

Sweet treats were distributed and well wishes were shouted. Many students had phones out recording their parade especially for them. The Ste Genevieve Fire Department and Ste Genevieve City Police Dept represented by flashing their lights and sounding their sirens in salute. Even Senior parents joined in on the fun and were part of the parade.

Although this isn’t how anyone would have chosen for the Seniors’ year to end, we hope they know how blessed we’ve been to teach them and how loved and cared for they are.
