Warriors Act as Pall Bearers

The Valle Warrior Football Team said good-bye to one of its oldest and greatest members on Friday, January 2, 2015.  Head Coach Judd Naeger shared this news:

Valle Warriors pall bearers

Ralph “Tubby” Rodenmeyer passed away this week.  Mr. Rodenmeyer was a tremendous player in the late 30’s and continued to be a great fan of the boys in blue.

The word ‘Tradition’ gets used a lot in football.  People often try to define tradition as a ritual or something tangible or visible.  However, this is rarely the case.  Tradition rests in the hearts and minds of people.  Today was one of those rare cases where ‘Tradition’ could be seen and witnessed.  Former Warriors and current Warriors Eric Meyer, Kurtis Meyer, Jacob Trautman, Ethan Fallert, Koltyn Schilly, Logan Tucker, Carl Loida, and Matthew Skaggs served as pallbearers for Mr. Rodenmeyer’s funeral.  The fact that Ralph and his family wanted our program and our young men to carry Mr. Rodenmeyer to his final resting place is humbling.

So today we say good-bye to Ralph “Tubby” Rodenmeyer, Valle Warrior.
