Officer Lance Pippin of SGPD celebrated his 23rd birthday on September 14th with a visit to the Valle Desert as the Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade Warriors were playing at recess. The students serenaded him with their rendition of “Happy Birthday”.
Officer Pippin occasionally visits the students during their afternoon recess allowing the students to interact with a member of law enforcement. His presence shows the students that police officers are good and that children should not be afraid of them. It reinforces the concept that law enforcement officers are someone to trust and respect.
