Amy Wood has been teaching for 29 years. She attended Missouri State University (MSU) and obtained a certificate in Early Childhood Education. Amy graduated from Southeast Missouri State University and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education.

She loves anything to do with outside. This includes gardening, watching sports, big family gatherings and watching thunderstorms roll across their back field.

When she’s inside, she likes to read, bake and watch old sitcoms. Two of her favorite sitcoms are “I Love Lucy” and “M.A.S.H.”.

What do you love most about teaching at Valle Catholic?
“Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I taught in several Catholic schools before coming to Valle. I loved every one of my Catholic school experiences. But when I started teaching at Valle, it was a love like no other. It felt like “HOME”. My husband and I graduated from Valle, as did our three children. Valle holds a lot of memories. Entering classrooms, walking the halls, eating in the cafeteria, pep rallies in the gym and continuing traditions from past generations makes us a unique family that truly cares for each other. “Forever a Warrior” is not just a cliche but the true spirit of all who enter into the Valle family.”

To our students …
“Valle is a place where learning happens, memories are made and love is felt deeply! Everyday you can dream big and work hard and be You!  YOU matter to me! Welcome to Valle!”
