Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital hosted 13 Valle Catholic High School juniors and seniors on Friday, April 7, 2017 for a day of healthcare discovery. The event introduced the students to career opportunities in healthcare.
The students had a chance to see what medical professionals do on a daily basis. Students were engaged in conversations about pursuing a career in healthcare and the different opportunities available.
Students shadowed professionals in a variety of departments including Therapy, Nursing, Social Work and Diagnostic Imaging among others. The event was an interesting, hands-on experience for students to see what a healthcare professional does.
