Davis Grigaitis is a proud 2010 graduate of Valle Catholic High School. He graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in History and minors in Political Science and Archaeology. He spent time in Scotland receiving further education in Archaeology, but knew in his heart that his real passion was for teaching.

He began teaching at Valle on January 4, 2017 (a day he celebrates every year). He teaches 9th grade Civics and Geography, 10th grade World History, and 11th-12th grade College Credit American History. He has been teaching four years.

He enjoys coaching football and baseball at Valle Catholic and when he’s not coaching, he is probably attending another sporting event supporting our awesome student athletes. When not in the classroom or on the field, he loves to travel and has been to eight countries so far!

What do you love most about teaching at Valle Catholic?
“The family atmosphere at Valle Catholic is what makes me excited to walk in the doors every day-the “Valle Family.” There is such a great bond between both the staff and students. It is a neat experience to teach in the same classrooms that I attended class and walk these same halls … there are so many good memories and certainly many more to be made!”

To our students …
“Our students need to know that we are invested in them and their futures because we are a family! All the students know my door is always open for any questions or problems they may have or even just to chat. Education and life is about building relationships and showing people that they are valued.

My mantra has always been: “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care!” In a world that often values many of the wrong things, we can be a light for our students and provide a learning environment that is challenging but also empathetic so that all our students know that they matter!”
