On August 22nd Valle Catholic High School held their assembly to announce the 2014 edition of the Homecoming Royalty and Grand Marshal. This year’s Homecoming game is scheduled for Friday, September 19th pitting the Valle Warriors against the Grandview Eagles.
To begin the event the Student Council officers welcomed and introduced their 2014 Grand Marshal, Mr. Joe Hoog. Some students did not recognize the name, but when they saw the man they realized a true Valle Warrior had been selected. Mr. Hoog is a 1943 graduate of Valle High School and he is very proud that he sent his five children through the system. Mrs. Dawn Basler, the school secretary, stated that Mr. Hoog is a frequent visitor to the High School and is present at most Valle sporting events. He always has something positive and supportive to say about the students, faculty, and fellow alumni of Valle. Mr. Hoog is proud to serve as Grand Marshal for all upcoming Homecoming events.
Then Student Council moved on to the announcement of the Homecoming Royalty beginning with Freshman Attendant, Miss Taylor Siebert, daughter of Jenny and Byron Siebert and Freshman Escort Mr. Brendan Meyer son of Marcia and “late” Carroll Meyer.
Sophomore Attendant is Miss Ashley Grither daughter of Sharon and Mike Grither and Escort Mr. Josh Bader, son of Mary Kay and Clay Bader.
Junior Attendant is Miss Chelsey Operle, daughter of Laura and Jeff Operle and escorted by Mr. Nick Oberle, son of Debbie and John Oberle.
Senior Attendant is Miss Emily Fischer daughter of Anita and Billy Fischer. Senior Escort is Mr. Austin Pennell son of Colleen and Rich McClure and Rob Pennell.
Miss Nicole Kertz, daughter of Kris and Gene Kertz, was announced as Miss Valle and will be escorted by Mr. Joseph Trautman, son of Kathy and Mark Trautman, who will serve as Chief Touchdown for the 2014 Homecoming.
Homecoming Queen is Miss Ally Doza, daughter of Dana and Dwayne Doza.
