Julie Holland has been teaching for 32 years. She is a retired public school teacher of 30 years, all in kindergarten. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a major in Early Childhood Education, and also earned her Elementary Education certificate as well.  Her graduate studies were also at Southeast Missouri State University with a degree in Elementary Education.

She is married to Ted and has two daughters, all who have gone through Valle. She grew up in Ste. Genevieve. Her dad was a teacher and helped to inspire her to become a teacher. She has one newborn granddaughter, who has captured her heart.

What do you love most about teaching at Valle Catholic?
“I love that I get to talk about Jesus all day long. In my years in the public schools, we did not talk about religion. Religion is such an important part of my life, it is really hard not to talk about it. The students are so enthusiastic to learn about Jesus and his love for them!”

To our students …
“You matter to me. You matter to the whole school. You are a part of Jesus’ body of the Church. Each of us has our own gifts that are a part of Jesus’ mission. Without you, we would be missing part of our body! You matter! And always remember: “I love you so much!” (This is a song we sing at the end of every day!)”
