Nancy Fischer received her Bachelor of Science in Education (BEd) from Southeast Missouri State in 1983, and holds teaching certificates in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, General Science, and Mathematics. She earned her Masters of Natural Science (MNS) from Southeast Missouri State in 2004. She is beginning her 39th year of teaching … all at Valle Catholic.

Nancy has a 3-minute commute (on foot) to school each day, and has two dogs and two cats. Even though a lot of people think she is an only child, she has a fantastic older sister.

She plays euphonium in the local municipal band and also in the Ste. Genevieve German Band.

Nancy has presented science workshops for middle school and high school teachers all over the United States and into Canada – as far east as Boston, as far south as Tampa, as far west as Honolulu, and as far north as Vancouver, BC.

What do you love most about teaching at Valle Catholic?
“What I love most about teaching at Valle is that I have the freedom to engage and teach all students, not just the ones who take science classes.  I can freely interact with students at sporting events and other activities, but I can also just chat with students in the hallways or cafeteria.  It may be sort of a cliché, but I really do feel like part of a big family.”

To our students …
“Bring your fantastic self, along with your unique talents and great personality, to school each day and let’s work together to have the best year ever!’
