*Reverse Evacuation Drill

All schools have policies in place to account for severe weather or other types of emergency situations. Recently Valle Catholic practiced a "reverse evacuation drill" using procedures put into place by the Emergency Response Team headed by Principals Mr. Paul Hinman and Mrs. Jill Metzger.

A reverse evacuation drill practices what would happen if conditions inside the school (or other buildings) are safer than the conditions outside. Students practiced what would happen if a reverse evacuation announcement was made and how they would move as quickly as possible back into the school buildings.
