On July 15-17, 2016, Sacred 8 Youth Ministry sent 41 teens (many of whom were Valle students), 8 adults, and 1 priest to the <em>Steubenville STL</em> Youth Conference. Ten parishes from Ste. Genevieve, Perry, and Cape Girardeau Counties were represented.

<em>Steubenville ST</em>L Mid-America is a high-energy youth conference where thousands of teens are invited to encounter Jesus Christ through dynamic speakers, engaging music, the Sacraments, small group discussions, and fellowship with other teens. This conference is an outreach of Franciscan University in partnership with the St. Louis Archdiocesan Office of Youth Ministry. Two conferences are held every year in July and take place on the campus of Missouri State University in Springfield, MO.
Thanks to the generous donations of the following corporations, the group was able to pay for a bus to transport them to the conference: Mississippi Lime Company, Kelly Fallert Realtor, Drury Contracting, Northwestern Mutual-Alan Metzger, Central Fleet, Inc., Judy Naeger-Remax, Marzuco Electric, Sara’s Ice Cream, Mueller Tire Service, Cranberry Merchant, Ben Brewster Construction, and Jeffry Cupps, DMD, MS. Thanks also to the many individuals who donated through their parishes.

The event was a life-changing experience for many of the participants. The teens would like to thank the community for their prayerful and financial support in their quest to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ!
