Valle ‘Rocks the Block’

<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #000080;">Yes, it seemed no one would be ready for the 2014-15 school year to begin but Thursday evening, August 14th Valle students, parents, guests, teachers, and administration welcomed in the new school year with their annual Rock the Block event.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #000080;">Dr. Mark Gilligan welcomed everyone and then turned it over to the Valle Student Council.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #000080;">President Kaci Figge and Vice President Abby Fischer quickly revealed the theme for this school year would be Carnival.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #000080;">They hope to use the theme for Pep Rallies and spirit events.</span></p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #000080;">As people gathered they noticed a dunking booth with many students changing places on the throne with young and old taking a chance to dunk someone.</span></p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #000080;">Valle cheerleaders led the crowd in cheers and the school song which was followed by music and dancing. Football players even joined in group dances such as the electric slide.</span></p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #000080;">A warm community feeling greeted new faculty members that had just finished their first day and now they could see just what being a Warrior is all about.</span></p>
