Taylor Siebert, daughter of Jennifer (Weiler) and Byron Siebert is the 2018 Dr. Martin Luther King Model of Justice Winner from Valle Catholic.
Most Reverend Robert Carlson, Archbishop of St. Louis, celebrated Mass at the Cathedral Basilica for the Preservation of Peace and Justice on Sunday, January 14 and Father Arthur Cavitt, Executive Director of the Archdiocese of St. Louis’ St. Charles Lwanga Center delivered the homily.
A reception and awards presentation ceremony for the 11th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Model of Justice honorees took place in Boland Hall after Mass.
The Martin Luther King, Jr. Model of Justice Award is presented annually to Catholic high school students who have demonstrated a commitment to service to humanity through their attitude and their work in the broader community. These students have made justice a central part of their lives and have committed themselves “to the noble struggle for equal rights.”
Valle Catholic is proud of Taylor and her accomplishments. Upon graduation, Taylor plans to attend Mineral Area College and pursue a career in Education.
