*Senior Banquet

On Wednesday, May 11, 2016 Valle Catholic High School held its traditional Senior Banquet.  There were 24 students honored with parents, faculty and administration present.   seniorbanquet

The masters of ceremonies were Class President Matthew Skaggs and Vice President Brendan Samples. Principal ​Dr. MarkGilligan along with faculty and staff presented awards and scholarships to the graduating seniors.

 Valle Girl and Valle Boy are selected by faculty members based on character, service, and leadership, i.e. they represent what a Valle Student should be. ​This year’s recipients: Sally Heil and Seth Mueller, son of Tom and Jennifer Mueller.​

This recognition is named in honor of the Sisters of St. Joseph who for decades maintained a convent in Ste. Genevieve and served as teachers and administrative personnel for Valle Schools.

This award acknowledges the hard work of those seniors who maintained the highest academic standards throughout high school. Seniors must have a minimum of 4 English credits, 4 math, 3 social studies, 2 foreign language, 3 science, 1 fine art credit, and 3 additional credits from those areas AND have excelled academically in those courses, ​PLUS scoring above the 75%tile on the ACT.

Ingenuity Scholarship Winners 
The inaugural Ingenuity Scholarship was presented to Sally Heil attending the University of Missouri and Carl Loida who will be attending the United States Air Force Academy. This endowed scholarship funded by a Valle Alumnus, uses merit based criteria for high school seniors pursuing degrees related to Science, Technology, Engineering or Math. This year Sally and Carl received $2500.00 each.
This is an incredibly generous scholarship. The donor wishes to extend the challenge to other Valle Alumni to contribute to the Valle Catholic Schools Foundation endowed funds which help continue the legacy of Catholic Education in Ste. Genevieve.
