Senior Banquet

On Wednesday, May 14 Valle Catholic High School held a banquet for the Class of 2014.

In attendance were the 39 graduating senior, their parents, administration, and faculty. The banquet for graduating seniors is an annual event sponsored by the Valle Patron’s Club and served by the junior class.

Mistresses of Ceremony were Senior Class President, Colleen Brake and Vice-President, Caroline Stolzer. Also seated at the head table were: Dr. Mark Gilligan, principal of Valle Catholic, his wife, Mrs. Pam Gilligan, Reverend Greg Klump, Associate Pastor of Ste. Genevieve Parish, and Valedictorian of the senior class – Nicholas Bader and Salutatorian- Matthew Naeger.

Senior awards were introduced by faculty members and presented by Dr. Gilligan following dinner.

At the banquet it was announced

Nicholas Bader was also named Valle Boy and Mackenzie Wipfler was named Valle Girl. The selection is based on – character, service, leadership, i.e. they represent what a Valle Student should be.

Sisters of St. Joseph Awards for Academic Achievement were presented to graduating seniors who have a minimum of four English credits, four math credits, three social studies credits, two foreign language credits, three science credits, one fine art credit and three additional credits from those areas and who have excelled academically in those courses in addition to scoring above the 75 percentile on the ACT.

This year’s Valle Girl is Mackenzie Wipfler, daughter of Dale and Geri Wipfler. Valle Boy is Nicholas Bader, son of Clay and Mary Kay Bader. Congratulations!
