Ste. Genevieve VFW Post 2210 held its annual Voice of Democracy competition Monday, November 4, 2013.
The theme of this year’s competition was “Why I am optimistic about the future of America”.
Benjamin Roth, a freshman at Valle High School, was named the winner and will go on to district competition.
Ben is the son of Dave and Sheila Roth. Richa Kanani, a sophomore at Valle placed second. Maddie Meyer, a freshman at Valle placed third.
Also participating in the competition were Austin Caldwell, Thomas Engelmann and Karissa Hobbs of Ste. Genevieve High School and Emily Roth of Valle.
