Bellarmine Speech Meet

Valle speech Feb 2015

On Saturday, February 7, 2015, the Valle Speech Team participated in a Bellarmine speech meet at St. Paul Catholic Grade School in Fenton.

 Through the Bellarmine Speech League students in grades 5-8 develop and improve their public speaking skills by memorizing and performing material in Humorous, Serious, and Duet categories.  Ribbons are awarded to participants based upon the total score received from two judges.
Humorous solo team members were:  Bryce Palmer (8th grade): gold ribbon for “Ninth Street Bridge” by Bill Cosby, Collin Parmer (8th grade): red ribbon for “Basketball” by Bill Cosby, Scarlett Alcorn (5th grade): red ribbon for “Joe’s Pizza Parlor” by L.B. Brooks.
Serious solo team members were: Cora Friedman (6th grade): blue ribbon for “Information Please” by Paul Villard, Mary Roth (6th grade): blue ribbon for “A Kitten Goes Adopting” by Leota Hulsa Black.
Duet team members were: Ericka Loida (8th grade) and Daniel Kuenzel (8th grade): blue ribbon for “Anyone Want My Sister” by Ken Bradbury, Kyle Steiger, (6th grade) and Claire Parmer (6th grade): red ribbon for “The Devil Made Me Buy This Dress” by Flip Wilson.
The team is coached by Sheila Roth.
